We went to St. Louis this weekend for Uncle Dennis & Aunt MaryAnn's wedding (which was just beautiful)!! This trip was also the trip we told Brian's parents about the new addition coming to our family. After Taylor got up from her nap I had her go out and tell Grandma & Grandpa that she was going to be a big "Stister"!! They seemed excited but also a bit distracted by the news. (I'll explain why later). So after Mike got off work Brian's parents, Brian, Taylor & I, Mike and Austin all went out to dinner (Monica was working).
We got back home and it was bedtime for Taylor but we knew that Aunt Monica would be home soon and we tried to keep her up long enough to tell Aunt Monica & Uncle Mike the good news too!! BUT around 7:15 she looked at me and said "Mommy I want to go to bed!" She was SOOO tired, so I took her back and put her to sleep. After about 20 min. of her being back in the room I had a brilliant idea to go back in there, and wake her back up and ask her to say "I'm gonna be a big sister" into the camera so we could show it on the TV to Aunt Monica and Uncle Mike. Once Monica came home we immediately go the video going - hugs were given...but again - not as excited as I "thought" they were going to be...they also seemed distracted.
Mike had gone out to the car to grab something and when he walked in I noticed a sheet of paper with ultra sound pictures on it! MONICA IS PREGNANT TOOO!!!!! That totally explains WHY everyone seemed a bit "distracted" by our big news...because they couldn't say anything to spill the beans on Monica's big news!!
Monica & Mike's little bundle of joy is due on September 23rd - and our little bundle of joy is due October 12th. So about 2 weeks apart!! What is crazy is that Corbin (my brother's son) is about 2 weeks older then Taylor and now Monica's little peanut is going to be 2 weeks older then our little bundle!! Its crazy how the world works!!
We are very excited about all the additions to both our family and the Adair family! Its great that our kiddos have cousins their age to grow and play with!
2011 is turning out to be quite an eventful year!!
So glad to join you in the newest Gravagna baby boom!
