I need some Ice

Hello All!!

Well I truly believe I had my first bout of morning sickness this morning!! I had just gone in and woke Taylor up as I normally do by rudely turning on the light and saying "GOOD MORNING MUNCHKIN" in a very high pitched - perky morning voice.  Which is usually followed by my little munchkin popping up from her bed and waiting for me to come over and giver her a hug and a kiss...which of course I did!! Then she asked for her milk...which I gave her :)  Then I started the rest of our morning routine which includes me grabbing her clothes out of the closet, going over to her drawer and getting socks and underwear and a wipe so I could take her diaper off and clean her up...

Well this morning I got to the closet and turned on the light - then it hit me like a ton of bricks...OMG I'm gonna hurl!! So without making any sudden movements (I didn't want Taylor to worry) I quickly exited her room and went into her bathroom and sat on the little short stool that rolls which we have in there so I can sit on when I give her a bath...anyway with my head in my hands leaning over the toilet I see Taylor come into the bathroom.  Now let me give you a little set up of that bathroom.  Its a long rectangle shape - when you walk in the door the vanity/sink is on your right and the shower is on your left and the toilet is on the same side as the sink but at the back of the bathroom...right smack dab in the middle of the walkway in the bathroom there is a pine sitting (bar) stool that I place Taylor on when I do her hair in the morning...SO as Taylor is rushing into the bathroom to make sure mommy is okay she tripped on the stool and bonked her head on the corner of the "privacy wall" that hides where the toilet is located.

So what happened next was priceless...I scooped her up (while trying to hold in my sickness) and rocked her and rubbed her head - once she realized she had my sympathy (which was necessary!) she looks at me and says "I need some Ice" - her poor little sad eyes...just melted my heart and at that moment all my feeling of sickness had gone away.

I told her that we could get some ice as soon as we got down stairs.  So we got down stairs and the moment I put her down she said "Mommy, I really need some ice!" Now she can't just have a bag of ice, she must have a towel around it.  So I put about 6 cubes of ice into a Ziploc and proceeded to wrap a washcloth around it.  She put it on her head and everything was right in the world!!
