Brian put it together this morning and after he was done, it was my turn to go up and put all the bedding on. I had the whole bed made, and was starting to take the toddler bed out of there when Taylor snuck up the stairs and was standing in the hallway...she walked into her room and her eyes got really big and she said...Is that my big girl bed?! I love it!! Then she proceeded to climb on it! I wanted Brian to be up there when she saw it for the first time - but Taylor has learned how to walk around the house in stealth mode and we don't know she's there until BAM she's right in your face.
So I went and found Brian and had him come up. Taylor then proceeded to play a game of make believe with me. It was fabulous!! Well enough of the mumbo jumbo...I know you're just waiting to see the pictures!!
Well here they are!!
This is where Taylor began...her crib...in the town house - 3 long years ago!!
And now, Taylor enjoying her brand new big girl bed
The head board is just precious!!
Also, the flower decals will be removed and put in the new nursery.
Here it is again with no munchkin sitting on it.
Here is the view from the door way
(yes we fully understand that this is a HUGE room for a child)
A corner of the room shot
This is the shot from yet another corner, looking out of the room and at the closet door
Tea Party? Yes Please!
I painted this prayer on her wall right after we moved into the house!
I just love it!! We say it nightly (although we just start with "May angles" cause the rest is kind of long)
Taylor is napping as I type, for the first time in her big girl bed...I'm so proud of her - but seriously - she needs to stop growing up so fast!!!
