First Official Dr. Appt

Thursday was my first official doctor's appointment! We met with Dr. White and she went through all the "normal" 1st check up stuff and went over some of the basics.  Since I've gone through this once that part of the visit wasn't too long.  She was able to get the portable ultra sound machine so she could get a look at our little jelly bean!  She was trying to get a good picture of him/her and she couldn't find him/her.  So her first thought was that the baby wasn't measuring up to date.  She also thought she couldn't find him/her because my uterus is backwards.  So she scheduled me for a ultrasound down in radiology so they could get a better picture.

So I nervously walked all the way down to radiology (I was on the 5th floor and radiology is on the 2nd floor about 1/2 way across the hospital).  Everything that could possibly "be wrong" went flying through my head.  Could something be wrong with our baby?  We've waited SO long for this and it would just break me if something were wrong!!

The radiology tech came out to get me and took me back, she first did an "on top of the belly" ultra sound and saw the baby and he/she was measuring 8 weeks 2 days (right on schedule!!!) She then switched to an internal ultrasound which is where the below picture came from...and internally he/she was measuring 8 weeks 3 days!!! Which would make our due date 10/10/11!! Just what I was really hoping for!!
